Mexico Government Fully Funded Scholarships 2024-2025
- Developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) through the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID).
- Aims to contribute to sustainable development and address global challenges.
- Focuses on forming human capital of excellence.
- Provides access to quality, inclusive, and equitable education.
- Open to foreign individuals from over 180 countries.
- Participation based on diplomatic relations, bilateral legal frameworks, multilateral mechanisms, and special agreements.
- Includes over 90 Mexican Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
- Allows for student exchanges.
- Fosters academic and cultural integration among partner countries and Mexico.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must not currently be living in Mexico.
- Students from any of the listed countries can apply for the scholarship.
Scholarship Benefits
- Monthly maintenance stipend:
- Master’s, undergraduate, Master’s level mobility, and master’s research: $13,202.12 MXN.
- Doctoral and postdoctoral levels: $16,502.65 MXN.
- Enrollment and tuition fees covered.
- Medical insurance through IMSS, starting from the seventh month.
- Exemption from Mexican visa cost.
- International air transportation provided upon successful completion.
- National transportation from Mexico City to host city and back.
- AMEXCID purchases airline tickets; no reimbursement for individual purchases.
- Changes to AMEXCID-purchased tickets covered by the individual.
- Bus fare for national transportation by land reimbursed.
- Benefits managed by the Academic Exchange Directorate of AMEXCID.

- Letter explaining study/research motivation in Mexico (max 2 pages, Arial 12, single spacing)
- Curriculum vitae (max 3 pages, Arial 12, single spacing)
- Letter of academic acceptance from Mexican institution or admission response
- Letter of commitment to return to home country
- Letter of acceptance of scholarship terms
- Copy of birth certificate
- Copy of valid passport in color or government-issued photo ID
- Medical certificate (issued within last 3 months) stating good health
- Proof of advanced Spanish knowledge (minimum B2 level) if not native speaker
- Statement declaring provided information is true
- All documents must be in Spanish or translated into Spanish
