Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must not currently be living in Mexico.
  • Students from any of the listed countries can apply for the scholarship.

Scholarship Benefits

  1. Monthly maintenance stipend:
    • Master’s, undergraduate, Master’s level mobility, and master’s research: $13,202.12 MXN.
    • Doctoral and postdoctoral levels: $16,502.65 MXN.
  2. Enrollment and tuition fees covered.
  3. Medical insurance through IMSS, starting from the seventh month.
  4. Exemption from Mexican visa cost.
  5. International air transportation provided upon successful completion.
  6. National transportation from Mexico City to host city and back.
  7. AMEXCID purchases airline tickets; no reimbursement for individual purchases.
  8. Changes to AMEXCID-purchased tickets covered by the individual.
  9. Bus fare for national transportation by land reimbursed.
  10. Benefits managed by the Academic Exchange Directorate of AMEXCID.

Required Documents

    1. Completed and signed scholarship application form
    2. Letter explaining study/research motivation in Mexico (max 2 pages, Arial 12, single spacing)
    3. Curriculum vitae (max 3 pages, Arial 12, single spacing)
    4. Letter of academic acceptance from Mexican institution or admission response
    5. Letter of commitment to return to home country
    6. Letter of acceptance of scholarship terms
    7. Copy of birth certificate
    8. Copy of valid passport in color or government-issued photo ID
    9. Medical certificate (issued within last 3 months) stating good health
    10. Proof of advanced Spanish knowledge (minimum B2 level) if not native speaker
    11. Statement declaring provided information is true
    12. All documents must be in Spanish or translated into Spanish
